Kristen Smith attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia earning a BFA in jazz dance performance. She continued her professional career dancing for the Roxey Ballet Company and performing at many regional theaters including Bucks County Playhouse, Media Theatre, and the Resident Theatre Company to expand her musical repertoire. Kristen had the opportunity to work as an adjunct professor at her alma mater UARTS teaching various technique classes including ballet, jazz, tap, and theatre dance. She has served as a dance captain, choreographer, director, and dance instructor in elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and universities throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Most recently, Kristen has been sharing her high energy and love of movement with Ballet X’s dance exchange program as a teaching artist for her second season this year. Her passion is to provide for the arts community by nurturing the next generation of dancers.
