Dance Del Bello is pleased to share the first official look at Beauty & the Beast, offering subscribers an exclusive preview of Beauty and the Prince as they shape the challenging Act III Pas de Deuxs choreographed by the late David Kloss.

We invite you to take this early glimpse into Beauty & the Beast and experience the unfolding world of Beauty and the Prince as their story begins to take shape.

These newly released promotional photos beautifully captured by Miki Wray provide an early glimpse into the world of our 30th Anniversary revival process of this enchanting ballet.

At the center of the story are Beauty and the Prince—two figures drawn together through transformation, recognition, and an unfolding emotional journey. In this interpretation, their connection is not only a romantic arc, but a study in contrast: innocence and restraint meeting power and complexity, curiosity meeting awakening.

Mr. Kloss’s evocative production reimagines the original 18th-century fairy tale through a sophisticated and emotionally resonant lens, offering audiences a richly layered neoclassical interpretation. First created for the company in 1996, the work returns to the stage for the first time in twenty years, marking a significant revival in Dance Del Bello’s repertory and its ongoing commitment to storytelling through movement.

The promotional images highlight this approach, capturing both the stillness of intimate exchange and the dynamic energy that defines the larger work. Costumes, design, and physical expression all contribute to a visual language that feels at once timeless and newly imagined.

Set within an atmosphere of otherworldly grandeur, Beauty & the Beast unfolds as a dramatic and visually compelling work that has something for everyone: a love story, a cinematic symphonic score, the magic of a fairytale, spectacular group work, dancing snowflakes covered in sparkles, incredible adagios, and eccentric bursts of color and pattern that inject joy and humor.

This first look is only the beginning. As rehearsals continue, Dance Del Bello will be sharing more behind-the-scenes insights, rehearsal moments, and artist features leading up to opening night. ◆
