ARTISTS OF DANCE DEL BELLO
Kathleen Betz began her training at the Pennsylvania Dance Institute and joined Dance Del Bello as a company member in 2002. While in high school, she attended the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet Summer Programs. Kathleen graduated from Dickinson College with a B.S. in Mathematics. While attending Dickinson College, Kathleen trained with Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and danced with Dickinson College Dance Theater Group. Kathleen recently earned her MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She has performed in Dance Del Bello productions including The Sleeping Beauty, A Christmas Carol, Cinderella, Coppélia, Beauty and the Beast, When Fairytales Come True, Gabrielle Concertante, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Limitless Path.
Sarah Brower began her training at Pennsylvania Dance Institute. In 2003, she attended the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts. Since joining the Dance Del Bello Company, she has performed numerous principal roles in productions such as A Christmas Carol, Sleeping Beauty, Gabrielle Concertante, Swanilda in Coppélia, Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and the dual roles of both the black and white swan in Swan Lake. Sarah was the 2004-2007 recipient of the Baker Endowment for the Arts. While at DeSales University, Sarah performed with its Dance Ensemble under the direction of Trinette Singleton of the Joffrey Ballet. She also participated in the Doug Varone Residency, danced in the Repertory Dance Theatre's production of The Nutcracker and performed with the DeSales Touring Company. Sarah recently performed in New Jersey's Boheme Opera Company's production of Faust. Currently, Sarah performs with Saltarium Dance Company and the New Street Dance Group.
William Ernest Davis Burden began his training in Philadelphia at the Rock School of Dance and CAPA High School, earning his BFA in Jazz Dance Education from the University of the Arts in 2013. William won Summer Intensive scholarships with Alvin Ailey, Kevin Malone, Philadanco, and Adrian Bolton and Katherine Smith, as well as the Marian Anderson Award in 2004 and 2005. He has danced with Tap Team Two and Company, Traci Hall and Company, Philadanco, and Pennsylvania Ballet. He was part of Eleone Connection, a member of Eleone Dance Theatre, Carbon Dance Theater and Spectrum Dance Theater. He is currently in his second year with Philadanco and performed four times with Dance Del Bello.
Jessica Frazier trained at The Rock School West in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and The Rock School in Philadelphia. She attended summer intensives at Nashville Ballet, Orlando Ballet School, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, and BalletX. Jessica continued her studies at SUNY Purchase College Conservatory of Dance. Jessica was a company member with Ballet Fleming, under the direction of Christopher Fleming and danced with Ballet 180 in Paoli, Pennsylvania. As a company member of Dance Del Bello she has performed The Ghost of Christmas Past and Niece in A Christmas Carol, Pas de Trois and Big Swans in Swan Lake, and Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Jessica recently joined Ballet des Amériques in Westchester, New York.
Chloe Galler joined Dance Del Bello as an apprentice in 2012 and became a company member in 2015, after training at the Pennsylvania Dance Institute for over ten years. She has performed in numerous Dance Del Bello productions. Chloe has also performed with the Moscow Ballet in The Nutcracker and with Ballet Central New Jersey in Les Patineurs, as well as in their 5th Anniversary Gala and summer intensive performances.
Fallon Gannon began training with Ms. Delia Foley studying the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus and later at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School. She earned her BFA in Ballet Performance from the University of the Arts and joined Ballet Fleming in Philadelphia, originating many roles in Christopher Fleming's Rock Ballets. She has recently danced with Arch Contemporary Ballet in New York, performing Château on Broadway, and with the Albany Berkshire Ballet, touring the East Coast in Madeline Cantarella Culpo's Nutcracker. This is Fallon's fourth season with Dance Del Bello.
Fang-Ju Chou Gant
Fang-Ju Chou Gant, born and raised in Taiwan, came to the United States to further her study of dance. She earned an Associate Degree of Dance in Australia from Queensland University of Technology, Academy of the Arts/Dance, and received her BFA in Dance Education from The University of the Arts. Fang-Ju is trained in a wide range of dance styles and stagecraft. In addition to performing, she has taught ballet for many years throughout the Philadelphia area. Fang-Ju has been dancing with the Koresh Dance Company since 1998. Her past performances with Dance Del Bello include A Christmas Carol, The Sleeping Beauty, and Beauty and the Beast.
Thomas gant, jr.
Thomas Gant, Jr., graduated from the Southern New Jersey Academy of the Performing Arts under the direction of David Kloss. He received a full scholarship to attend the Joffrey Ballet Trainee Program. He also studied with Ronen Koresh and Melissa Rector of Koresh Dance Company, as well as Delphine Del Bello, David Kloss, Nancy Page, and Christopher Fleming, among others. Gant works as a freelance artist balancing dancing, teaching and choreography. He has danced with Opus One Contemporary Dance Company, Brandywine Ballet Theatre, and Ballet Fleming. Gant has been appointed régisseur of David Kloss' repertoire for Dance Del Bello.
Julia Hall -began her training at Pennsylvania Dance Institute, participated in the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet Summer Program in 2007, and then joined Dance Del Bello as a company member. Julia is a graduate of Rider University where she participated in dance department showcases and studied at the Princeton Ballet School. Julia is currently the Supervisor of Show Production at Sesame Place, where she has not only performed in but also teaches show and parade choreography.
Caleaf Jamaine Henson began his dance career in Broomall, Pennsylvania, with Touch of Class Dance Studio. Caleaf progressed to training with Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet and the Broadway Dance Center in New York City. Mr. Henson has performed in So You Think You Can Dance on Fox TV, The Nutcracker, Tremaine Regional and National Competitions, as well as the Opus I Contemporary Company Showcase. Caleaf has performed for conventions with International Modeling & Talent Association in both Los Angeles and New York City. Caleaf has taken on the challenges of teaching and setting full dance productions and musicals such as West Side Story and Fame. In addition to working with studios in the tri-state area, he has also assisted Crystal Frazier at University of the Arts. Caleaf has performed in Dance Del Bello's A Christmas Carol, Cinderella, and Swan Lake.
Martin Skocelas-Hunter began his training in Canton, Michigan, primarily focusing on the Cecchetti Ballet syllabus. He attended Western Michigan University for Musical Theatre Performance and then Grand Valley State University for Dance. Martin has performed with the Grand Rapids Opera Company and the Plymouth-Canton/Metro Shores Ballet Company. Immediately after leaving Grand Valley State, Martin was offered a contract with Ballet Fleming in Philadelphia. While dancing with Ballet Fleming for two years, he was also a Soloist with Arch Contemporary Ballet and Klassic Contemporary Ballet. Martin has also danced with the Columbia City Ballet and has dance with Dance Del Bello four times.
Matthew Soojian started his dance training at The Rock School West and attended the Creative and Performing Arts High School of Philadelphia. He attended summer programs at Boston Ballet, The Rock School, and BalletX. Matthew joined Footwerx Tap Company in 2008 and currently serves as both dancer and assistant choreographer/director. In 2014, he earned his BFA in Ballet Performance from University of the Arts and received the 2014 LaVaughn Robinson Tap Award. He has danced with Ballet Fleming, and for Ballet 180 as a company member from 2014-2017. As a choreographer, Matthew creates ballet, tap, and contemporary dances and has presented his work at Koresh’s Come Together Dance Festival 2015 - 2018 and their 2018 Artist Showcases. Matthew has danced with Dance Del Bello since 2017.
Michael Weidner has over fifteen years of experience in acting and musical theater. For over a decade, he has performed the role of Scrooge for Dance Del Bello in David Kloss' ballet, A Christmas Carol. He has also restaged recent performances of Coppélia and The Sleeping Beauty for Dance Del Bello. Michael has appeared in various stage dramas including Shakespeare's Women and Mother Courage.
