Our 2010 performing season is in full swing, and we are very excited about our upcoming production of ‘A Christmas Carol,’ the ballet, choreographed by David Kloss. Last December, we celebrated the 30th anniversary of this exquisite ballet, and we are looking forward to continuing the tradition this year! In addition, our spring performance featured two works recently added to our repertoire. These included the ballet “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” as well as the much-anticipated premiere of ‘Labyrinth,” a modern dance piece by Artistic Director Delphine Del Bello Spencer.

This past spring, Dance Del Bello also received the wonderful news that we were recipients of an educational outreach grant from the Philadelphia Cultural Alliance. In partnership with Freedom Theatre’s Performing Arts Training Program, we held workshops during the summer for youth throughout the Delaware Valley. As a result of these successful workshops, Dance Del Bello and Freedom Theatre are committed to continuing their partnership through further grant development.

Now we are asking YOU to help support your local dance company continue its mission. October 2010 marks the creation of our Annual Fund, and we are looking to you, former company members, friends and supporters, to build an ongoing relationship with Dance Del Bello.

Support from this fund will be used to pay for some of our company’s greatest needs, as Dance Del Bello transitions from a pre-professional to a professional dance company. Your financial support will strengthen our program by allowing us to provide quality programming, to extend our outreach program to local communities, and to support the organization administratively.
